"His suit was shakin', his shout was loud, his two tone shoes were flashin' and he made my socks roll up and down"
Today it is both too expensive to take a big band out on the road and too difficult to find a vocalist with a big enough voice to lead such a band. Yet there is just such a group. Eric Shoutin' Sheridan and The Uptown Rhythm Kings are a throw back to that age, and ain't you glad.
A calender and information page is at The Uptown Rhythm Kings .The Uptown Rhythm Kings' trombonist, John Wolf, has a small label in St. Louis, Bonehenge Music, on which he released a C-D of his jazz quartet.

Due to the original composition, the live feel, and four years of playing in the LZB, we think there is a lot more of 'us' in this release. We hope you agree that's a good thing and not just a dangerous indulgence. So before you play this CD you might want to ask yourself -
:Am I ready for this"

Since 1990, Angie has been impressing audiences with her powerful live show and sophisticated songwriting. Though she receives rave reviews as a performaer, it's her strength as a songwriter that sets her apart from other artists. Ricochet , her long-awaited debut on the Big Mo label, showcases her talent for interweaving poetry with pop savy.
Angie has previously appeared in concert with national recording artists Adrian Belew, Nils Lofgren, Lowen & Navarro and Danny Gatton to name a few. With comparisons to Melissa Etheridge and Joan Osborne notwithstanding, Angie Miller has a readily identifiable sound which is bound to become her trademark.
