About Look.net

Look.Net, LC, is a one-stop Internet company. By providing design,
hosting, list serves, threaded discussions, and eCommerce, our clients come
to us for all their Internet needs.

In 1994, Whole Systems Design, Inc., a company in business for over twenty
years, saw the potential of the Internet, and began Look.Net, it's Internet
subsidiary. In four short years, Look.Net has eclipsed the success of its
parent company, and in January of this year, separated from Whole Systems,
Inc., and became Look.Net, LC.


Connectivity
Our connectivity is obtained through AboveNet, which Look.Net has found to
be unparalleled. AboveNet is the leading provider of Internet system and
network management solutions for enterprises with mission-critical Internet
operations.

AboveNet is strategically located in two fault-tolerant facilities,
immediately adjacent and powerfully connected to the two major public
access points of the Internet: MAE-West in San Jose CA and MAE-East in
Vienna VA. This centralized architecture provides enhanced connectivity,
while eliminating the need to build and maintain numerous geographically
dispersed data centers. AboveNet's superior network design improves the
Internet experience by reducing packet loss and latency, ultimately
reducing the number of hops Internet traffic has to travel to its ultimate
destination.

Security

Our sites are hosted on either G3-powered Macintosh computer or Linx. These
two machines are sololy dedicated to just hosting web sites and has no
other server software running on it, ensuring reliability, speed and
security. Macintosh is well known amongst IT circles for having superior
network security. To date there is no record of any know exploit of
Macintosh mail or list server. All administrative functions are protected
via a password.

Look.Net list serve clients include the Gore 2000 Presidential Campaign,
McGraw-Hill, CBS News, Aegis Carlson (UK), Wind-Up Entertainment, Titan
Software, and 1394 Trade Association. Of particular note, Look.net is in
final negotiations with Microsoft for hosting a list serve on the subject
of programming and development of gaming and multimedia.
